Along with my mommy moments post I want to tell you all something I am grateful for. I am hoping this will help me to see more of the blessings in my life. I think this is important for all of us so we can see what we have. Along with it helping us to be a happier person, I think being grateful helps us to be more frugal because we don’t always have a desire for the next best thing or we don’t always think others have more then us. Gratitude fosters giving as well. When we see our blessings we are so much more able to bless others and give them what they need.
This week I am most Grateful for my husband. He is amazing. I can’t say that enough. He works so hard for our family. I think I really don’t recognize all he does like I should. Currently he is working 2 jobs. Along with those jobs he is working on school applications and is also the best dad ever. He is always there to help me when I need it and is always there for the kids too. I can’t imagine my life without him.
I hope this week to thank him for the things he does to see the wonderful man he is, for the rock he is and the support he gives me each day to be a better mom and wife. He even sits and cuts coupons with me each week so I can save the family money. He truly is my frugal partner is so much!
In fact the other day we were shopping at Winco and we came to something he wanted. It wasn’t on sale and while I cridge at paying full price, I knew he really wanted it so I was going to put it in the cart and move on. but then he said something that made me smile so big. he said “it doesn’t have a green tag (meaning it wasn’t on sale) so I don’t need it.” My heart skipped a beat as I heard him say that. I appreciate his fugalness especially because I know it isn’t a natural thing for him. It is hard for him to be frugal but he is trying and learning and living this frugal life along side me and I couldn’t be more grateful for that!
