Lemon Meringue Rice Krispie Treats Recipe

If you are looking for a fun treat for a picnic or dinner, these Lemon Meringue Rice Krispie Treats are sure to be a hit!  It is summer and summer often means fun twists to old favorites as you go out with friends! These marshmallow treats are sure to make you the hit of the party!  They are so easy to make, and they have candy on them.  You can’t go wrong!

 

 

When you make these marshmallow treats just be sure to make a little extra so you can snack on it while it cools! 😉 You will thank me for that little tip!

6 cups Rice Krispies Cereal
3 tbs salted butter
4 cups miniature marshmallows
3 tbs powdered lemonade mix (I used 4C brand)
1 oz marshmallow creme (I used KRAFT Jet-Puffed)
Yellow Lemon Nerds Candy

Ziploc bag

Instructions:

– Coat the bottom and sides of an 8×8 inch baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
– Melt 3 tbs butter in a large saucepan.
– Add 4 cups mini marshmallows and stir continuously until melted.
– Remove from heat.
– Add 3 tbs of the lemonade powder to your melted marshmallows and stir to combine.
– Add 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal to the marshmallow mixture and stir until all the cereal is coated.
– Turn that mixture out into your baking pan and use a piece of wax paper to press the cereal mixture down firmly.
– Allow your treats to cool completely.
– Place your marshmallow creme into the Ziploc bag and cut a very small hole from one corner of the bag.

– Pipe the marshmallow creme onto your treats as shown.

– Sprinkle with yellow lemon Nerds candy.
